Our Department of Accounting and Financial Management was initially established as a vocational school through the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2010/103, published in the Official Gazette dated February 26, 2010 and numbered 27505. It was later granted faculty status by Presidential Decree No. 2704, published in the Official Gazette dated June 30, 2020 and numbered 31171.
The department admitted its first students in the fall semester of the 2011–2012 academic year and currently continues its educational activities with 153 students. In addition, as of the Fall Semester of the 2024–2025 Academic Year, a graduate program has been launched within the department, and 6 students enrolled in the spring semester. Our academic staff consists of 3 Assistant Professors, 1 Associate Professor, and 1 Research Assistant.
Our curriculum is designed not only to provide students with comprehensive knowledge in accounting and finance, but also to offer a multidisciplinary perspective through courses covering fundamental concepts and theories in fields such as economics, management, and law. By offering elective courses in various areas aligned with students’ interests and academic goals, the program aims to support their individual academic development.
In our department, we go beyond the delivery of theoretical knowledge by organizing various activities that contribute to students’ social and professional development. In this context, meetings and seminars with industry professionals are held to help students gain practical skills relevant to their future careers.
Our academic staff not only supports students throughout their learning process but also guides them as they prepare for their professional careers. Adopting an open-door policy, our faculty members place great importance on establishing strong and effective communication with students.
