According to Article 19 of the Isparta University of Applied Sciences Associate and Undergraduate Education, Training, and Examination Regulations and the Associate and Undergraduate Student Advising Directive, each student enrolled at our university is assigned an academic advisor from the faculty members of their respective department before the registration renewal period begins.

The purpose of academic advising is to guide and monitor students throughout their education, including adaptation to university life, academic progress, career development, and related matters. Academic advisors inform students about the course selection process at the beginning of each semester, evaluate the student’s academic status together with them, approve the courses the student needs to take, and carry out the necessary procedures related to graduation.

Academic advisors in the program allocate two hours per week as “Student Advising Hours,” considering their work schedules and the course schedules of the students they are responsible for. These designated hours are exclusively reserved for advising services. Additionally, advisors may meet with their students outside of the scheduled advising hours. Students can also communicate with their advisors through the Student Information System (SIS). Furthermore, faculty members regularly update and share announcements regarding their course schedules and advising days and hours every semester on their office doors.
