At Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBU), the academic achievements of students are assessed in accordance with the principles set by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), through the “Assessment and Evaluation Guide” adopted by the University Senate, and the specific implementation principles of each faculty/department. Assessment and evaluation processes at the university are structured to align with the program learning outcomes and are integrated into the quality assurance system.

The assessment tools and evaluation criteria to be used in all courses are clearly communicated to students at the beginning of the semester by the instructors through the Course Information and Application Package. This information is also accessible via the Student Information System (OBS). Transparency and accessibility for students are considered key indicators of accountability.

To ensure a fair assessment environment, ISUBU actively implements centralized exams, course coordination structures, and academic advising mechanisms. Standard timeframes are observed for the announcement of exam results, and processes for exam paper review and grade appeals are conducted transparently and in an auditable manner. All these practices are regularly monitored and documented to ensure academic integrity.

In order to maintain consistency, periodic assessment analyses are carried out by department boards and faculty education commissions. Student feedback is also collected through satisfaction surveys, and the data obtained is used for continuous improvement as part of the quality cycle. Emphasis is placed on digitalization in assessment processes, and systems such as Moodle and the ISUBU Distance Education Platform are utilized to ensure integrity and traceability in exam and assignment evaluations.

At ISUBU, student achievement is measured and evaluated in an objective, measurable, and improvable manner, in accordance with academic ethical values, and is managed in integration with quality assurance processes.

Furthermore, students graduating from undergraduate programs must fully meet all academic and administrative requirements set for graduation, which is essential for maintaining program quality and the validity of diplomas. In this context, an integrated system has been established and actively operated in our faculty to monitor graduation prerequisites. Within this system, students must successfully complete all required and elective courses, earn the necessary credits, pass their courses, maintain a sufficient grade point average (GPA), and fulfill their internship obligations. The monitoring of all these components is carried out through the automation system, and both students and advisors are provided with real-time feedback via the student information system.

To graduate from undergraduate programs at Isparta University of Applied Sciences, students must fulfill certain academic, practical, and administrative requirements. These requirements, based on the university’s official regulations, are summarized as follows:

Students must successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses listed in their registered undergraduate program and fulfill a total course load of at least 240 ECTS credits. Additionally, they must achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00. According to ISUBU’s Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations, no failed course can be included in the graduation list. Moreover, mandatory internships, workplace practices, or similar applied training, which are integral parts of some programs, must also be successfully completed. The duration and conditions of such practices are determined by the respective department or program.

Students who have a GPA of 2.50 or above and no failed courses from previous semesters may, with the approval of their advisor, enroll in courses from upper semesters. The Graduation Guide, prepared by ISUBU’s Directorate of Student Affairs, outlines the steps students must follow in the graduation process. This guide simplifies the process for graduating students by providing a step-by-step approach and the necessary forms.
