Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBÜ) established the Distance Education Application and Research Center (ISUBÜ-UZEM) to conduct distance education activities under an institutional framework. This center is responsible for research, development, implementation, and strategic planning related to distance education for all academic and administrative units of the university.

ISUBÜ’s distance education policy aims to effectively utilize distance learning methods in associate, undergraduate, and graduate programs. The objectives include enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of distance education activities, meeting the distance learning needs of public institutions and private sector organizations, and transferring accumulated expertise to relevant institutions.

ISUBÜ provides the necessary technical infrastructure to support distance education activities. Course materials delivered through the Learning Management System (LMS) are enriched with text, animation, and audio, offering students 24/7 access. In addition, live classes are conducted using e-studios, ensuring synchronous interaction between instructors and students.

In distance education programs, course content is prepared over a 14-week period and remains accessible to students throughout the semester. Students can follow course materials, assignments, discussion topics, and exams through the LMS. Most assessments are conducted face-to-face, which enhances the reliability and integrity of the evaluation process.

ISUBÜ ensures quality assurance in distance education through continuous monitoring and evaluation processes. These processes include student feedback, instructor evaluations, and updates to technological infrastructure. Distance education policies are developed in line with the university's overall strategic plans and quality assurance systems.

As Büyükkutlu Faculty of Applied Sciences, we benefit from the distance education infrastructure developed by our university. This infrastructure is managed through the Student Information System (OBS). After the instructor is assigned to a course, the course is activated and managed via the OBS platform.

All distance education services are carried out by the Distance Education Application and Research Center (UZEM), which ensures the confidentiality, security, and management of the platform.

For course delivery and content development in distance learning, Adobe Connect is used as the Learning Management System. This software allows students to engage with both synchronous and asynchronous content in a single platform. Students receive notifications during live sessions and are invited to attend. They can access course materials and live class recordings 24/7. They can also submit assignments, projects, and files; participate in discussion forums created by advisors; view their grades; and send direct messages to their instructors. The platform can be accessed via mobile devices through AppStore and Google Play.

To ensure that all instructors are capable of using interactive and active teaching methods as well as managing distance education processes, training programs are offered in accordance with the In-Service Training Directive, coordinated by the Lifelong Learning Center.
