The necessary infrastructure for international student exchange is being developed through the efforts and protocols carried out by the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office and the Office of National and International Relations at Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBU). In line with the internationalization goals of our faculty at the undergraduate level, various programs, protocols, and collaborations are actively conducted to enhance student mobility.
To promote international student exchange, active participation is ensured in Erasmus+ and Mevlana student exchange programs. Within this scope, student exchange agreements are continuously expanded and updated. The list of partner universities under Erasmus+ and Mevlana programs is regularly updated on the website of the Office of National and International Relations.
Efforts are made to increase the number of partner universities to allow our students to study abroad, and bilateral agreements are signed accordingly. In this process, the Bologna Process, ECTS, and course equivalency practices are taken into consideration to ensure the compatibility of the courses students will take. To support increased international mobility, information seminars, academic advising services, and foreign language support courses are organized for students.
Moreover, the promotion and application processes of student exchange programs are carried out in collaboration with the Faculty’s International Relations Coordination Office. Orientation programs, academic advising services, and socio-cultural integration activities are provided for incoming international students. Guidance is also offered on accommodation, language, and campus life. Furthermore, the number of courses partially or fully taught in English is being increased to facilitate access to education for international students.
At the national level, our faculty also aims to support student mobility to ensure equal opportunities in education and to enable students to become familiar with different university cultures. In this context, participation in the national student exchange program, Farabi, is actively encouraged, and inter-university collaborations are strengthened to create a conducive environment for student exchange. Faculty-level promotional activities, information sessions, and academic advising services are provided regarding practices that allow students to study at other universities for a specific period.
The processes are managed transparently in collaboration with the Office of National and International Relations, and the necessary academic support is provided. Students participating in mobility programs are supported with regard to course equivalencies and credit transfers. Compatibility of curricula, student information systems, and advisor approval processes are effectively managed. The achievements of students participating in mobility programs are monitored and evaluated by the faculty administration.
The incoming student process flowchart prepared by the ISUBU Directorate of Student Affairs is available on the university's official website. According to this chart:
Incoming students are first identified by the Office of National and International Relations under the scope of exchange programs.
The identified incoming students are then reported to the Directorate of Student Affairs (ÖİDB).
This is followed by the student's enrollment and course registration processes.
At the end of the academic year/semester, the grades of the incoming students at ISUBU are sent to the Office of National and International Relations.
Finally, the grades are forwarded to the student’s home institution, completing the process.
Similarly, the outgoing student process flowchart is also available on the ISUBU website. According to this chart:
Students who will participate in exchange programs are identified by the Office of National and International Relations.
These students are then reported to the Directorate of Student Affairs.
Their academic status is updated on the Student Information System (OBS).
The transcript received from the host institution is forwarded to the relevant academic unit for grade conversion.
Lastly, the converted grades are sent to the Directorate of Student Affairs by the academic unit, thus finalizing the process.
