In the Department of International Trade and Business, academic advising services are conducted in accordance with Article 19 of the Isparta University of Applied Sciences Associate and Undergraduate Degree Education and Examination Regulation, as well as the Student Advising Directive. Within this framework, an academic advisor from the respective department's faculty is appointed to every student enrolled at our university before the course registration period begins.

The primary purpose of academic advising is to support students' adaptation to their educational processes, university life, and their professional and personal development; to contribute to their career planning; and to systematically monitor their academic progress. At the beginning of each semester, advisors evaluate the course selection process with students, approve the courses to be taken, monitor their academic performance, and manage procedures related to the graduation process.

Academic advisors in our department designate at least two "Student Advising Hours" per week, taking into account their own teaching schedules and the course loads of their advisees. These hours are exclusively dedicated to advising services, with the goal of establishing regular communication and providing guidance to students. Additionally, advisors can conduct one-on-one meetings with students outside of these hours when needed. Students can reach their advisors via messaging through the Student Information System (SIS) and can access the advising process digitally. At the beginning of each semester, faculty members post notices on their office doors that include their course schedules and advising hours; thus, the advising process is conducted in a transparent and accessible manner through both physical and digital platforms.
